The Sanjay Gandhi National Park,
formerly known as the Borivali National Park covers 104 square km, which fall under the area of Thane and Mumbai and The main entnace situated At Borivali ,Mumabi, Maharastra state, India.It is home to thirteen hundred species of flora and more than five hundred
species of fauna . Gandhi National Park attracts more
than 2 million visitors each year, it one of most visited National Park in Asia. It
is one of park largest park in world that situated within city. The Sanjay
Gandhi National park is known for its evergreen dense forests, varieties of birds,
butterflies, spotted deer, monkey, small population of tigers and lion. It is one of ideal place for
picnics and weekends holiday for visitors in Mumbai,The
famous two thousand year old,Kanheri Caves are located within the park. A
famous Jain Temple is also situated in the park.
The main attraction of Sanjay
national park is a vintage model toy train knows
as Van rani (jungle queen) that runs on a narrow gauge within park. Visitors may
take enjoy of such a toy train for dear watching and jungle travel. The visitor also take the enjoyment of boating in Lakes. There are two b two artificial
lake inside the park know as Vihar and Tulshi lake. The major attraction of
this park is Lion and tiger safari. The visitors may also take the cycle for park
tour. The park is open in 7.00 AM. And close in 6 P.m.
